By Mei Han, massage therapist in Dubai Updated 18 July 2026
I’m Mei Han, an independent female massage therapist in Dubai. I work for myself — no chain, no app, no rota of strangers — so when you book, you get the same experienced pair of hands every time. I offer six treatments, I come to your home for AED 400 an hour or see you at my studio for AED 300, and there’s no deposit.
Meet Mei — an independent female therapist
Being independent shapes everything about how I work. You always know exactly who is coming to your door: me, the same person you messaged, not whoever a platform happened to dispatch. That matters for comfort and for trust, particularly with a home visit, and it’s a big reason clients stay with me rather than starting over with someone new each month.
Being a female therapist matters to a lot of people too. Some clients simply feel more at ease with a woman’s hands, and many women booking their first massage want exactly that reassurance. Every session is strictly professional and by appointment, with proper draping throughout, whether you’re a woman or a man — the boundaries are clear and identical for everyone.
Working for myself also means I answer to you, not to a booking desk with targets. There’s no upsell script, no queue of clients being rushed through, and no pressure to stretch a treatment into a package. If sixty minutes is what your body needs, that’s what we do. You can read a little more about how I work on my about page.
That independence cuts both ways, and I think it’s the fairer arrangement for you. If we’re not the right fit — you want a style I don’t offer, or a therapist based closer to you — I’ll say so rather than talk you into a booking. But if you want steady, professional, hands-on massage from someone who remembers you next time, that’s exactly what one independent therapist gives you.
My approach: listen first, then treat
A good massage starts with a short conversation, not oil. Before we begin I’ll ask what’s brought you in, how firm you like the pressure, which areas need attention and which to leave alone, and anything about your health I should know. Bodies differ day to day, so I’d rather hear where you are right now than assume from last time.
From there I tailor the session as we go. If your shoulders are worse than usual, we spend more of the hour there. If you came for relaxation but your lower back is locked up, we adjust. Because I’m the one who treated you last time, I remember what worked and build on it — something no app can offer when it sends a different person each visit.
I’ll also be honest with you about what massage can and can’t do. It can help ease tension, support recovery and help you sleep and unwind; it isn’t a cure, and it isn’t a substitute for medical care. If something you describe sounds like it needs a doctor or physiotherapist — sharp, spreading or lasting pain, numbness, anything that worries me — I’ll say so. You’re always in charge on the table too: ask me to go lighter, firmer, or to move on, at any point.
None of this makes a massage complicated. Most sessions are simply an hour of good, steady work on the muscles that need it, with a few words at the start and a quiet finish. The listening just means you get an hour shaped around your body that day, rather than the same routine handed to everyone.
One consistent therapist vs a chain or app
Booking through a chain or an app can be convenient, but you trade away continuity. You often can’t choose who arrives, the person changes each time, and there’s no one building a picture of your body over the weeks. Pressure gets reset to a stranger’s guess, and you re-explain yourself at every visit.
With one independent therapist, the relationship does the heavy lifting. I learn how you like things, spot what’s changing in your neck or hips, and adjust without you having to spell it out. Booking is a direct WhatsApp chat rather than a queue, the price is fixed with no deposit, and you deal with one accountable person from first message to aftercare.
Price is part of it too. With me the rate is fixed and out in the open — AED 400 an hour at home, AED 300 at my studio — with no deposit, no surcharge at busy times, and no commission quietly taken by a platform. You pay the therapist directly, which is usually why the value adds up next to booking the same hour through an app.
If you want the full comparison, I’ve written about choosing a massage app versus an independent therapist, and about what separates a strong home massage in Dubai. Both come down to the same thing: whether you’d rather roll the dice on whoever turns up, or book one person you come to know and trust. When you’re ready, message me on WhatsApp and we’ll find a time.
The six treatments I offer
I keep to six treatments and do each one properly, rather than claiming a long menu I couldn’t do justice to:
- Deep tissue — for chronic tension, knots and the stiff neck, shoulders and lower back that come from long hours at a desk.
- Swedish and relaxation — flowing, medium-pressure work to de-stress, sleep better and unwind; a good first massage.
- Sports and recovery — for runners, padel and gym-goers, around training and to help mobility.
- Prenatal and postnatal — gentle, safe side-lying work through pregnancy and after, from a female therapist. I’d always suggest checking with your doctor or midwife first.
- Lymphatic drainage — light, rhythmic work to support circulation and ease puffiness, ideal after a long flight. Honestly, it isn’t a detox or a weight-loss treatment.
- Aromatherapy — a soothing full-body flow with blended oils to settle the nerves after travel or a heavy week.
You can see all of them, with what each one helps, on my services page. If you’re not sure which fits, just tell me your goal — better sleep, a knot that won’t shift, tired legs — and I’ll steer you to the right one rather than selling you the longest option.
How to book me
Booking is a short WhatsApp chat — no account, no form, no deposit. Tell me your area, whether you’d like a home visit or my studio, the treatment and a rough time. A home visit is AED 400 an hour and my studio is AED 300, for 60, 90 or 120 minutes; you pay cash on the day, or bank transfer on request. See the pricing page for the full breakdown.
If it’s your first time having a therapist come to you, ask whatever would put you at ease before you commit — I’d rather answer a few questions on WhatsApp than have you unsure. Once we’ve settled on a time I’ll confirm it clearly, and after that you can simply message me directly whenever you’d like your next session.
I work daily from 10am to 11pm, by appointment, and I can often fit in a same-day session. Send me a WhatsApp whenever you’re ready, and you’ll be dealing with me from the first message to the moment I pack down — the same therapist, every time.
Frequently asked questions
Who is the best massage therapist in Dubai?
That's not something I'd claim about myself. What I can tell you is what I offer: an independent female therapist, the same hands every visit, six treatments, and a listen-first approach. If that sounds like the fit you want, message me on WhatsApp and we'll find a time. A home visit is AED 400 an hour.
Do you offer a female massage therapist in Dubai?
Yes — I'm Mei, a female therapist, and I do all the treatments myself. Many clients, especially women and anyone booking their first massage, prefer a woman's hands and a strictly professional, by-appointment setting. I treat both women and men. Message me on WhatsApp to arrange a home visit or a studio session.
What treatments does your therapist offer?
Six: deep tissue, Swedish and relaxation, sports and recovery, prenatal and postnatal, lymphatic drainage, and aromatherapy. Each can be tailored to what your body needs on the day. If you're unsure which suits you, tell me your goal on WhatsApp and I'll point you to the right one.
Is it better to book an independent therapist or an app?
With an app you often get a different stranger each time and can't build any continuity. With me you get the same person who remembers what your back was like last visit and adjusts. Booking is a direct WhatsApp chat, prices are fixed, and there's no deposit. For many people that consistency is the whole point.
How do I book a massage therapist in Dubai?
Message me on WhatsApp with your area, the treatment you'd like and a rough time. I'll confirm quickly. A home visit is AED 400 an hour and my studio is AED 300, for 60, 90 or 120 minutes, no deposit, cash on the day. I work daily from 10am to 11pm, and same-day is often possible.
