For most people in DSO the best slot is a weekday evening, once the working day and the drive home are done.

Dubai Silicon Oasis: what kind of place it is

DSO is a tech free zone with a residential community wrapped around it: mid-rise towers near the main roads, gated townhouses behind. Dubai Silicon Oasis sits in the south-east of the city between Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and the Dubai–Al Ain Road, next to Academic City. The Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority headquarters and the free-zone offices are at its centre, ringed by towers such as Silicon Gates, Palace Towers, Cordoba Residence and Axis Residences, with Silicon Central mall as the everyday landmark and the Cedre Villas on the quieter side.

There’s no metro in DSO yet, so almost everyone drives — and the last thing you want after a massage is the drive back along E311. If you’re in the country-named clusters by Dragon Mart, my International City page covers that side.

Finding your tower or villa

In the towers, security is the first stop; in Cedre Villas, it’s the gate and your villa number. Several DSO towers look alike, so when you book, send:

• the building name as written at the entrance, or your Cedre Villas street and villa number;
• your floor and flat number;
• a pin dropped on the entrance you actually use;
• my name left with security or the gate.

Most towers have visitor parking; when it’s full I use the street. I’ll message when I’m close — you don’t need to come down.

Making space in a flat or townhouse

A bedroom and your own bed are all a DSO session needs. There’s no table to set up: I lay a dedicated massage blanket over your bed, add a fresh sheet, towels, a headrest and a bolster, and pack everything away afterwards. Details are on my what to expect page.

1. In a shared flat, a bedroom door that closes is all you need; tell your flatmates you have an appointment.
2. In a townhouse with children, book after bedtime or hand them to another adult for the hour.

What people in Silicon Oasis tend to book — and what I’d suggest

Screen-heavy weeks point to deep tissue on the neck and upper back; weekend sport points to recovery work on the legs; a wired, sleepless week points to something calmer.

• At a screen all day — deep tissue massage, 90 minutes the first time: neck, between the shoulder blades, and the forearms if you type for a living. Sixty minutes only ever covers half of a screen back.
• Weekend gym, football, cricket or an early cycle — sports & recovery massage on the legs and hips, the evening after rather than the morning before.
• Can’t switch off, sleeping badly — Swedish & relaxation, 60 minutes, late evening, then straight to bed.

Is there a massage centre in Dubai Silicon Oasis?

Yes — DSO has a few spas and massage centres of its own, plus hotel spas, with more in the surrounding districts. I don’t run one: I come to your flat or villa, or you come to my studio.

One thing I’ll say plainly, because some searches for a massage centre in Silicon Oasis are looking for something else: what I do is therapeutic massage only — strictly professional, proper draping throughout, by appointment, for both women and men. If that isn’t what you’re after, I’m not the right person to message.

A centre is the better choice if you want a steam room or sauna with it, you’d rather nobody came into your home, or you want to walk in without booking. A home visit is the better choice if you want the same therapist every time, you don’t want to drive afterwards, you need a late-evening slot, or you have children at home.

On price: a home visit is AED 400 per hour (AED 400, AED 600 or AED 800 for 60, 90 or 120 minutes) with no deposit and no travel fee to DSO; the total I confirm on WhatsApp is the total you pay. The studio is AED 300 per hour. A walk-in centre may well be cheaper per hour; what you’re paying me for is the same therapist, the full minutes and not going anywhere.
