Massage in Discovery Gardens

I come to you in Discovery Gardens — discovery gardens themed apartments — with my massage blanket, fresh linens and oils — I work on your own bed. Or visit my private studio by appointment.

Yes — I do home massage across Discovery Gardens, in every themed cluster from Mediterranean and Mogul to Zen, Cactus and Contemporary. Send me your cluster, building number and flat number on WhatsApp and I’ll confirm a time between 10:00 and 23:00. For most people here the best slot is a weekday evening, once the commute is done and the building has gone quiet.

Discovery Gardens: what kind of place it is

Discovery Gardens is a big, low-rise, themed apartment community tucked behind Ibn Battuta Mall, and that layout shapes how a home visit works. Discovery Gardens sits between Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Furjan at the Jebel Ali end of the city: not towers, but hundreds of low-rise blocks in named clusters, set among lawns and walkways.

Two metro stations serve it: Ibn Battuta on the Red Line at the mall, and Discovery Gardens on the Route 2020 branch, one stop before Al Furjan. It’s a practical base for people commuting to the Marina, Media City or Jebel Ali Free Zone, and many homes are studios and one-bedroom flats, often shared. If you’re across the metro line in the villas and newer blocks, my Al Furjan page covers that side.

Finding your building

In Discovery Gardens the building number matters more than the pin. Blocks within a cluster share a façade and colour scheme, and a pin dropped mid-cluster can land on the wrong block, or on the car park. When you book, send:

  • your cluster — Mediterranean, Mogul, Cactus, Zen or Contemporary;
  • the building number exactly as it’s painted on the block;
  • your floor and flat number;
  • a pin dropped on your entrance, not on the parking.

Most blocks have a plain ground-floor entrance rather than a staffed reception, so I’ll message when I’m close and you let me in; if yours has a guard, leave my name with them. Parking is open-air and shared between the buildings and fills up after work, so I allow time for it.

Making space in a studio or shared flat

A studio in Discovery Gardens is plenty of room, because I work on your own bed and bring everything else. There’s no table to set up: I lay a dedicated massage blanket over your bed, add a fresh sheet, towels, a headrest and a bolster, and pack it all away when we finish. My what to expect page shows the whole set-up.

Three things make a compact flat work well:

  1. A bed against the wall is fine. I work from the open side and ask you to shift across when I need the other.
  2. A door that closes. If you share, tell your flatmates you have an appointment so nobody wanders in.
  3. A lamp rather than the ceiling light. Small thing, big difference to actually switching off.

What people in Discovery Gardens tend to book — and what I’d suggest

The pattern here is set by the commute and the screen: hours sitting on the metro or in Sheikh Zayed Road traffic, then more hours at a desk, settle into the neck, upper back and lower back. My suggestion depends on how the week has landed:

  • Stiff neck, shoulders up by your ears, a lower back that’s tight by the end of the week — deep tissue massage, 90 minutes the first time, so there’s room to work the back without rushing the neck.
  • You train — the gym, five-a-side, running the garden paths or padel at the weekend — sports & recovery massage on the legs, hips and whatever you load most, ideally the evening after rather than the morning before.
  • Worn out and sleeping badly — Swedish & relaxation massage, 60 minutes, late in the evening, then straight to bed.

If pain runs down an arm or leg, comes with numbness, or follows an injury, see a doctor or physiotherapist before booking; massage supports that care rather than replacing it. Not sure which to choose? Message me on WhatsApp with where it hurts and what your week looks like, and I’ll suggest the session and the length.

Is there a massage centre in Discovery Gardens?

Yes — there are spas and massage centres around Ibn Battuta Mall and the hotels along Sheikh Zayed Road, and a short drive gets you to plenty more in the Marina and JLT. For some people a centre is the right choice; the differences are practical rather than a matter of better or worse:

On price, a walk-in centre may well beat me per hour, and I’d rather say so than pretend otherwise. A home visit is AED 400 per hour — AED 400, AED 600 or AED 800 for 60, 90 or 120 minutes — with no deposit and no travel fee; the total I confirm on WhatsApp is the total you pay. If the lowest number matters most, my studio at AED 300 per hour is the budget route: you travel, I don’t. The price list has the detail.

Questions about massage in Discovery Gardens

Do you do home massage in Discovery Gardens?

Yes. I visit flats across all the Discovery Gardens clusters — Mediterranean, Mogul, Cactus, Zen and Contemporary — and the blocks nearest Ibn Battuta Mall. Send your cluster, building number and flat number on WhatsApp and I'll confirm a time between 10:00 and 23:00. I bring a massage blanket and fresh linens for your own bed, and both women and men are welcome.

How much is a home massage in Discovery Gardens?

A home visit in Discovery Gardens is AED 400 per hour: AED 400 for 60 minutes, AED 600 for 90 and AED 800 for 120. There is no travel fee and no deposit. You pay in cash after the session, or by bank transfer if you ask beforehand. If you'd rather travel to me, the studio is AED 300 per hour.

My building in Discovery Gardens has no reception. How do you find my flat?

Send me your cluster, the building number exactly as it is painted on the block, your floor and flat number, and a pin dropped on your entrance rather than on the car park. The blocks look alike, so the number matters more than the pin. I'll message when I'm close, and you only need to let me in at the door.

Can I get a same-day massage in Discovery Gardens in the evening?

Often, yes. Message me early in the day with the evening you have in mind and I'll tell you what's free; same-day works best if you can be flexible by an hour or so. For two people, back-to-back sessions in one visit are simplest, or I can bring a former colleague, also a female therapist, so you're treated at the same time.
