The only reliable way to get the same massage therapist every time in Dubai is to book one independent therapist directly, not through an app. Apps send whoever is free from a rotating roster, so continuity comes down to luck. Book direct, save their WhatsApp number, rebook every two to four weeks, and the same hands come back — and get better at your body each visit.
Why do apps send a different therapist each time?
App platforms run on a pool of freelance therapists. When you book, the system matches your slot to whoever is available in your area at that time. That’s why you can have a brilliant session, try to rebook the same person, and find they’re off, fully booked, or no longer on the platform.
You’re not doing anything wrong — the model simply isn’t built around your therapist. It’s built around filling the next slot. Some apps let you “favourite” someone, but that’s a request, not a guarantee. If continuity matters to you, it has to be designed in from the start, which is why I’d book the person rather than the platform. My app vs independent therapist comparison covers the wider trade-offs, including where apps genuinely win; this page is only about getting the same hands back.
Why is the same therapist genuinely worth it?
A massage works best as a series, not a one-off. When the same person treats you over weeks, they remember:
- The pressure you actually like (not what you said the first time, when you were being polite).
- Your stubborn spots — the left shoulder, the lower back that flares after long flights.
- Old injuries and what to avoid.
- Whether you want to chat or lie there in silence.
- How your body responded last time — sore for two days, or fine the next morning.
That memory compounds. By the third or fourth session a regular therapist is working with your body, not introducing themselves to it. They can also notice change: if your right shoulder is suddenly much tighter than usual, that’s useful information — sometimes it points to a new desk, a new training load or a new baby carrier. A different person every time resets all of that to zero.
How do you lock in continuity? A short checklist
- Book the therapist, not the platform. Find an independent you can contact directly.
- Get their personal booking channel — a WhatsApp number you message yourself, not a dispatch system.
- Agree the rate and length up front so rebooking is a one-line message, not a fresh negotiation.
- Rebook before you need to. A quick “same time in three weeks?” at the end of a session keeps your slot.
- Keep a regular rhythm. Every two to four weeks is close enough that nothing is forgotten; three months apart and you’re half starting again. My guide on how often to get a massage helps you pick the interval.
That’s the whole trick: one accountable person, reachable directly, seen regularly.
Give your therapist a “body brief” on visit one
Continuity starts faster if you hand over the basics at the first booking instead of drip-feeding them. Copy this into your phone notes and paste it into your first message:
- Pressure: on a scale of 1–10, what you like (and what’s too much).
- Focus: the two areas that bother you most.
- Avoid: injuries, surgery, varicose veins, anywhere you don’t want touched.
- Health notes: pregnancy, blood pressure, medication, anything your doctor has flagged.
- Style: quiet or chatty, scented or unscented oil.
It takes two minutes and means even the first session is tailored. After that, a regular therapist only needs to know what’s changed — “shoulder’s worse this week, legs are fine” is enough. If you’re not sure what pressure to ask for, my piece on whether deep tissue is supposed to hurt explains how firm is too firm.
What happens when your regular therapist isn’t free?
This is the honest trade-off of booking one person. An app always has someone; an independent therapist sometimes has no slot at the time you wanted. With me there’s no substitute sent in my place — I’m one female therapist, not an agency. If I can’t do your time, I’ll offer the nearest one I have, and because I work daily from 10am to 11pm, that’s often the same or next day. The one time a second therapist is involved is a couples booking where you both want to be treated at once: then I can often bring in a former colleague, also female, but that’s agreed with you in advance, never a surprise swap.
In my view, a short wait is a small price for knowing exactly who will arrive at your door. If you need certainty, booking your next session at the end of each visit removes the problem almost entirely.
Booking the same hands every time with me
That’s exactly how I work. When you book me you get me, every visit, at your home, hotel or my studio, across more than 30 areas of Dubai. Every session is by appointment, strictly professional and with proper draping throughout, and I see both women and men. I don’t bring a massage table — I make up your own bed with a massage blanket and fresh linens, as shown on my what to expect page — so a regular visit fits easily into your week with nothing to prepare.
The price is the same for regulars as for first-timers: AED 400 per hour at home or a hotel, AED 300 at my studio, no deposit and no packages (the pricing page has every duration). If you’ve been frustrated by the roster shuffle, message me on WhatsApp with your area and a rough rhythm, and let’s set up a regular time.
Frequently asked questions
Can I request the same massage therapist every time in Dubai?
Through most apps, not reliably — they send whoever's available, so even a request is best-effort. The dependable way is to book one independent therapist directly. With me, the same person (me) comes every visit by default; there's no roster to rotate.
Why do massage apps keep sending someone different?
Because they run on a pool of freelance therapists and match each booking to whoever is free at that time and place. It's efficient for the platform, but it means your favourite is often unavailable when you rebook, and you start over with a stranger.
Does it really matter if the therapist changes?
More than people expect. A therapist who sees you regularly learns your pressure, your problem areas and your history, so each session builds on the last. A new person every time has to guess, and the first part of every session goes on re-explaining yourself instead of on the actual work.
What happens if my regular therapist is busy?
With an independent therapist you usually wait for the next free slot rather than get a stand-in. That's how I work: I don't send a substitute in my place. If I can't do your time, I'll offer the nearest one I have, often the same or next day, between 10am and 11pm.
How much does a regular home massage with the same therapist cost in Dubai?
With me, the price doesn't change for regulars or first-timers: AED 400 per hour at your home or hotel, AED 300 per hour at my studio, for 60, 90 or 120 minutes. There's no deposit and no package to sign up to. Message me on WhatsApp and we can set a regular time.
